Tips for having a great experience at the Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade:
What else can you expect? See below.
Indoor accessible seating is available and must be requested prior to the parade. Space is limited, so spectators who require accessible seating are limited to one additional guest.
The seating is located at the Manitoba Hydro Building, and the walkway between Portage Place Shopping Centre and The Bay. Indoor seating options usually fill up, so register early and be sure to arrive on time in order to ensure your spot is still available (late arrivals may lose their spots as we try to accommodate as many guests as possible). Note that tickets are required to enter this seating area.
At each intersection along the parade route, the space in front of the barricades is reserved for accessible seating or anyone needing assistance. There will be signage in place to enforce this.
Pre-registration is not required for outdoor accessible seating.
When you purchase a 50/50 ticket at the Winnipeg Santa Parade, half of each pot goes to support the new Float Bursary Program, funding that will be made available to organizations to build, improve, maintain and/or store their floats. By purchasing a ticket, parade spectators help improve the quality of the parade for years to come.
Parade Ambassadors will be walking the streets selling tickets - they will come to you!
