Local Holiday Tradition

The Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade is our city's longest-running free community event, established in 1909. We hope you'll make the parade a part of your holiday tradition! 

Read on to start planning your parade experience.

The Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade begins at Portage Avenue and Young Street, and heads east down Portage Avenue to the intersection of Portage and Main. It turns south on Main Street and continues until William Stephenson Way. The parade ends at Westbrook Street.
