Indoor Accessible Seating
PLEASE NOTE that the Indoor Accessible Seating Options for this year’s parade are full. The outdoor options are still available for user, as below.
The Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade is delighted to provide accessible seating, both indoors and outdoors, for spectators who require it. Due to space limitation, only one companion can accompany each guest.
Making a Request: The request for accessible seating is processed on a first-come, first-served basis and can be made via email to Chelsey Sommerfield at Independent Living Resource Centre. firstname.lastname@example.org
Successful applicants will be notified? by email? and a ticket will be sent by mail (please include a mailing address).
If you are applying on behalf of a group, email Chelsey to express interest.
Accessible Seating Locations – Manitoba Hydro Building and the walkway between Portage Place Shopping Centre and The Bay.
Recommendations: Those needing accessible seating should arrive between 3:30pm and 4:00pm at their assigned indoor accessible seating area on parade day. This will ensure you have enough time to get to the reserved seating area. Entrance to the area will be by ticket only.
Outdoor Accessible Seating
Spaces in front of barricades/fencing in the intersections along the route are reserved for anyone needing assistance like those using wheelchairs, or the elderly or injured. Barricades/fencing will have signage to enforce this.
