The highlight of the parade is Old St. Nick arriving on his float. After being in use for 60+ years it has run out of reindeer power. While his elves are busy making toys, it’s up to us to build him a new float.
The new Santa Float Project is an opportunity to develop a popular cultural icon that will be treasured for generations to come. The new float will replace the historically significant Eaton’s float built in the 1940s and used continuously to this day. The float will use twenty-first century, state-of-the art design, materials and construction to provide a both visually pleasing and environmentally sound vehicle for Santa and will be a lasting, community asset and legacy.
